Art Therapy is a little-known treatment. Art Therapy is about harnessing creative forces and activities (such as drawing, painting, creating collages and moulding materials) to acknowledge, restore and energise. Mental health is a complicated field. There are many different mental illnesses and conditions and each of these conditions affect people in different ways. This means that while one treatment can work for one person, it is not guaranteed to work for another. The most commonly known treatments of mental illnesses include medication, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and community support.
