My dream is to see the world become a more creative place. At Vlinder Expressive Arts we hope for a day when more people are able to express their emotions and explore their experiences through their creativity. Our passion for people drives our practice – we want to empower, restore and support. To SEE you and to HEAR you, with compassion and grace is our promise to you.
We facilitate professional Art Therapy and provide a safe and confidential space to explore mental wellbeing through creative processes. We are invested in what we do and that means constantly learning, researching and creating.
We are Mental Health Professionals. We are co-creators. We are teachers. We are Vlinder Expressive Arts Therapy.

Veronica – Founder and Art Therapist
Thanks For Being Curious
Veronica Bestall grew up in the country and is currently enjoying her city life. She has always been wide-eyed and curious. This curiosity revolved around people and what made them tick. She was curious about how people created beautiful things and beautiful lives. Art soon became a way for Veronica to explore this fascination.
Veronica spent her early career working in libraries and painting for leisure, exhibiting some of her work in a few regional galleries. She then attended the Queensland University of Technology, graduating with a Bachelor of Creative Industries, majoring in Visual Arts.
She later spent ten years operating a family day care. Earning a diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education and a Diploma in School-Aged Care and Education saw this business blossom. The children she interacted with were an inspiration and she loved watching them learn about the world through play.
Now Art Therapy allows her to combine her love of people (particularly children), art-making and self-awareness. An Advanced Diploma in Transpersonal Art Therapy has ensured an informed platform for the work she does now. Supporting and guiding clients who are seeking to nourish their emotional self through their own creativity is what inspires her each day.
Vlinder Expressive Arts Therapy is a combination of Veronica’s passion and dedication. It allows her to provide people with the best gift imaginable, ‘the gift of being fully expressed and the ability to unlock inner knowing and knowledge to be the best version of ourselves’. It matters that people are SEEN and HEARD.
Veronica loves spending time with her husband, adult children, and two young grandsons. She has a very spoilt labradoodle and lives by the sea. The greatest loves of her life include walking, reading, international cinema, painting, cooking, networking, sharing, and travel.
